The idea behind building this website is to communicate my artistic creations, be it photography, poetry or just simple thoughts that cross my mind and to invite you to a dialogue. Not wanting to limit myself to my own art, I intend to give other artists a chance to an increased web-presence through my photography of their performances or professions.

About Angelika Bertsch

PHOTOGRAPHY

Angelika has been a professional photographer since 2001 and operates her own studio in Montreal. While her work used to be predominantly black and white, she moved on to color photography, sepia productions and is now immersed in the world of digital photography, which finally offers her the creative outlet she has always been striving for. Her images are not a mere reproduction of what she sees, but rather a personal interpretation of the same. Her creative longing has lead to the exploration of various means of visualizing her creations.
Transfer on canvas, Polaroid transfers, sepia toning, printing on hand-made paper are a substantial part of this versatile artist.

WEB DEVELOPMENT

Besides her creative, personal work Angelika does commercial photography and created her web development company GetSeen in 2005

POETRY

Angelika writes poetry. She has been invited to read her poetry at the Montreal Public Poetry Festival in 2008. She also produced a book called "Poetry & Photography by Angelika Bertsch" excerpts of which can be viewed in the "poetry" section of this site.
